Every vow and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
“Every vow and every binding oath to humble herself, her husband may confirm it or her husband may annul it.
Every vow and every binding oath to humble or afflict herself, her husband may establish it or her husband may annul it.
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
Her husband may confirm or cancel any vow or any sworn obligation to deny herself.
Her husband may allow any solemn promise or any binding pledge of self-denial to stand or be broken.
But if her husband makes them null and void on the day he hears them, then whatever she said, vows or binding obligation, will not stand; her husband has voided them; and Adonai will forgive her.
Her husband has the final say about any promises she makes to the Lord.
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband can establish it, or her husband can annul it.
But if forthwith he gainsay it, she shall not be bound by the promise: because her husband gainsaid it, and the Lord will be merciful to her.
A married woman might promise to give something to the Lord, or she might promise to do without something, or she might make some other special promise to God. The husband can stop any of these promises, and the husband can let her keep any of these promises.
The husband may let his wife do what she promised to do, or he may refuse.
Her husband may allow or nullify every vow or every oath in which she undertakes an obligation to deny herself.
Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself, her husband may establish, or her husband may make void.
Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself, her husband may establish, or her husband may make void.
A woman’s husband may make her keep or cancel any ·promise [vow] or ·pledge [obligation] she has made to ·deny [mortify] herself.
But if her husband disannulled them the same day that he heard them, nothing that proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows or concerning her bonds, shall stand in effect: for her husband hath disannulled them: and the Lord will forgive her.
“A husband decides whether or not his wife has to keep any vow to do something or any oath to do without something.
Her husband has the right to affirm or to annul any vow or promise that she has made.
Her husband may confirm or cancel any vow or any sworn obligation to deny herself.
A woman’s husband may make her keep or cancel any promise or pledge she has made.
Her husband may confirm or revoke every vow and binding obligation that afflicts her.
Every vow and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
“Every vow and every binding oath to humble herself, her husband may cause it to stand, or her husband may annul it.
“Any vow and any sworn oath of a pledge to inflict on herself, her husband can confirm it or her husband can nullify it.
So her husband may either confirm or nullify her vow,
“When a woman who is living with her husband makes a vow or takes a pledge under oath and her husband hears about it but says nothing and doesn’t say she can’t do it, then all her vows and pledges are valid. But if her husband cancels them when he hears about them, then none of the vows and pledges that she made are binding. Her husband has canceled them and God will release her. Any vow and pledge that she makes that may be to her detriment can be either affirmed or annulled by her husband. But if her husband is silent and doesn’t speak up day after day, he confirms her vows and pledges—she has to make good on them. By saying nothing to her when he hears of them, he binds her to them. If, however, he cancels them sometime after he hears of them, he takes her guilt on himself.”
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict her soul, her husband may establish, or her husband may nullify.
“A husband decides whether or not his wife has to keep any vow to do something or any oath to do without something.
But if on the day he learns of them her husband annuls them, then whatever she has expressly promised in her vows or in her pledge becomes invalid; since her husband has annulled them, the Lord will release her from them.
“Every vow and every binding oath to humble herself, her husband may confirm it or her husband may annul it.
“Every vow and every binding oath to humble herself, her husband may confirm it or her husband may annul it.
Her husband can let stand or make void any vow or oath by which she bound herself to humble herself.
A woman’s husband may make her keep or cancel any promise or pledge she has made.
“Any vow or sworn obligation that would bring affliction to her, her husband can confirm or nullify.
Her husband can let her keep any special promise she makes. Or he can refuse to let her keep it. Suppose she gives her word not to eat anything. Then her husband can let her keep her promise. Or he can refuse to let her keep it.
Her husband may confirm or nullify any vow she makes or any sworn pledge to deny herself.
Her husband may confirm or nullify any vow she makes or any sworn pledge to deny herself.
Every vow and every binding oath to afflict her soul, her husband may confirm it, or her husband may make it void.
“Her husband has the right to have her keep, or not keep, any promise she has sworn to keep.
So her husband may either confirm or nullify any vows or pledges she makes to deny herself.
Any vow or any binding oath to deny herself, her husband may allow to stand, or her husband may nullify.
Any vow or any binding oath to deny herself, her husband may allow to stand, or her husband may nullify.
Any vow or any binding oath to deny herself, her husband may allow to stand, or her husband may nullify.
Any vow or any binding oath to humble herself, her husband may allow to stand or her husband may nullify.
Every neder, and every shevuat issar to afflict the nefesh, her ish may let it stand, or her ish may let it have a hafarah.
Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself, her husband may establish, or her husband may make void.
Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself, her husband may establish, or her husband may make void.
Her husband may ratify or veto any vow or sworn oath to deny herself.
Now if a woman is already married and vows to undertake some kind of self-denial, fasting or the like, her husband has the power to either approve or reject it.
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
If she avoweth, and bindeth herself by an oath, that she torment her soul by fasting, either by abstinence of other things, it shall be in the doom of her husband, that she do that, either do it not. (If she voweth, or bindeth herself with an oath, that she torment her soul with fasting, or by abstaining from other things, it shall be her husband who shall decide whether she must do it, or not.)
`Every vow and every oath -- a bond to humble a soul -- her husband doth establish it, or her husband doth break it;
